Envirotecture is an innovative design, planning, and Interior Design firm founded in 1984. The company has designed a wide variety of residential, commercial, and institutional projects, and in the process, developed a unique expertise at anticipating and meeting the needs of a variety of for-profit as well as non-profit organizations. Envirotecture’s commitment to produce quality design using cost effective and sustainable building materials has allowed it to serve clients with great success. Envirotecture maintains an ongoing effort to meet our client’s project requirements and budget constraints.
Envirotecture seeks to provide environmentally conscious buildings that are custom suited to any site, be it urban, suburban, or rural. When it is practical to do so, our goal is to create buildings which address today’s concerns of energy efficiency while maintaining design creativity. We believe these environmental considerations are more important in today’s economy than ever before.
As a corporate philosophy, Envirotecture devotes significant early resources during project planning towards the development of creative design solutions. It is through the preparation of multiple schemes that program requirements and budget constraints are optimally meshed. Every project is carefully scrutinized to maximize goals for quality designs with cost considerations and schedule demands.
Areas of specialty include: restaurant and night club design; medical offices; custom homes; multi-family housing; religious institutions, commercial centers and private schools. Envirotecture has an extensive experience with franchise organizations. We have completed over 40 locations for Quiznos Sub, Sbarro, Coffee Beanery, California Pita, PapaJohns Pizza, and Subway.
In addition, Envirotecture has invested in the state-of-the-art in-house computer aided design (CAD) and (BIM) capabilities to enhance the quality of our services. With our Building Information Modeling, we are able to quickly study and examine many design alternatives. Envirotecture also utilizes a computerized critical path method scheduling system to monitor the development process from conception thru occupancy.

Kamran Aryai, Principal-in-Charge, after completing the Los Angeles Trade Technical College Architectural Program, Kamran Aryai quickly realized he had high ambitions as an architect.
Kamran continued his studies at CSUN before moving on to the Environmental Design Program at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. By this time Kamran had established himself as a strong designer at Envirotecture, Inc. Possessing a blend of creative talent and practical foresight, Kamran soon was in charge of both the design and production phases of many of the company’s residential and institutional projects. Strong, impressive forms balanced with warmth and light characterized Kamran’s work.
He moved on to become a General Manager with Unitek where he oversaw the Design-Built team. Kamran’s five years with Unitek provided him with a solid understanding of the construction phase before returning to Envirotecture as a company partner.
Now as Principal-in-Charge of Envirotecture, Kamran works primarily with restaurant groups and private developers. Keeping the company in step with technical advancements has been a priority for Kamran. Envirotecture currently utilizes BIM (Building Information Modeling) and animation software as a tool to accurately and quickly evaluate multiple design possibilities.
Creative design, technical savvy, practical application, knowledge of municipal codes and requirements – all are trademarks of a well-trained and experienced architect. They are also the qualities Kamran brings to his work and which guide his success with Envirotecture.
